CTOnline.TV includes links to legal and reputable video sites on the internet, most of which are free thanks to advertising support.  But if you search for "online video" you'll likely come across some less reputable options as well, so watch out for these two categories:

1) The "Satellite TV" websites.  There is a marketing company called Clickbank that lets anyone affiliate with them and resell a variety of products, one of which is a 3000-channel "satellite TV" service (see www.satellitetvtopc.com as an example). Typically the cost is $34.95 for a lifetime subscription.  It's an interesting service and you do get lots of "channels" - but the majority are traffic cams, web cams, live video feeds from sites like CNN or BBC, or religious programming.  We purchased a copy to try it out, and we were unable to find any working video feeds for common networks like NBC, ABC, Discovery, HBO, etc. Browsing through the channels that are available is an interesting experience, even though most of them don't seem to work, and there are certainly worse ways to spend $35. But if you're expecting to see your favorite shows over the internet using these services - you probably won't be satisfied with what you find.

2) The "torrent" or peer-to-peer (P2P) file sharing sites or tools.  There are a number of tools available for download on the internet which let you download "free" music, movies, and TV shows from their services. These are usually illegal - they are allowed to remain because the tools themselves are legal, but the content you're downloading is not.  If you are the type of person who doesn't mind breaking the law or sacrificing your own ethics in order to watch a free movie, and you don't mind risking computer problems due to malicious downloads or legal action by the owners of the content, then maybe these services are for you.

While we have no affiliation with them, the websites we link to on CTonline.TV are all legal and legitimate.  And our service is free - we're not here to sell you online TV, we just thought it would be handy to have an easy way to find all the online video content in one place, and maybe promote the Computer Troubleshooters brand a little bit too, so we created this site for you and for us.
